My PC configurations are :

AMD phenom ii x4 955 BE

Also a suggestion on which brand to go for will be nice.

Currently i am thinking of G SKILL or Corsair.

In my opinion it depends on exactly how much RAM you want to add:

In the case of G-Skill then 4 GB (2x2GB) of 1600 ripjaws are in the upper $80's. But you can get 8 GB (2x4GB)1333 ripjaws for in the $140's.

currently i am not thinking of more than 4 gb.

Hi truegoon and welcome to Tom's forum.

What exactly price do u have in mind?

This G.Skill Ripjaws 1600 are very good for price/performance and works without problems in almost all mobos even without be in the QVL of the mobo.

Same dilemma; I actually have both sets of RAM in my possession. Which one should I go with? The 2x4GB DDR-1333 RipJaws or the 2x2GB 1600? Both GSkill obviously. Win 7 Pro 64 Bit, AMD Phenom II 965 CPU 3.40Ghz, MSI 790GX-G65 AM3 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard, IntelĀ® X25-M Mainstream SATA Solid-State Drive - 160GB.
