Ghost CD drive

hi After formatting and reloading windows on to a spare hard drive. I've found that on displaying Computer I have an extra cd drive, on checking Properties I find it's a ghost of my C: drive. Is there anyway of removing this
My board is an ASROCK n68C UCC
running windows XP Pro

What CD writing software did you install? Some software will show ghost drives like you describe.
