Hi Community friends (best hardware forum on the web no doubt)
I am looking for a motherboard, psu, cpu, dvd/rw drive and case to use for testing customers hardware. I have a radeon pci-e graphics card and sata western digital 250gb hard drive. I don't need high spec gear just a middle of the range specs.
many thanks grafowler

approxI prefer intel at the moment and would probably spend 150 pounds

MOBO - Asus P7P55 LX Intel P55 {110 USD}
CPU - Intel Core i3-530 {113 USD}
PSU - Rosewill RV2-600 600 W ATX12V v2.2 / EPS12V SLI Ready Power Supply {54}
DVD - LG DVD Burner - Bulk Black SATA Model GH24NS50 - OEM {18 USD}

$185 Pounds {I cannot wrap my mind around cheaper - maybe look at an eMachine}

If you don't really need the latest processor, and want to go look Intel, you can do a lot cheaper if you go for a socket 775 MB. Those Dual Core process's really aren't that bad. You can find lots of simple but decent MBs with PCI-Express for around 60-70 USD And Dual Core CPU for around 70-80 USD.

Not sure if they sell or what options they are to ship to the UK(Assuming that as you said 150 pounds) But places like tigerdirect have combo MB's and CPU for ~100-~120

Sure you will only have 1 PCI Express x16, and probably just two DIMM slots, but do you need expandability? Heck you can get 2x2gigs of RAM cheap. I speed isn't the big concern I'd stick with a socket 775 mb and CPU
