Hi, I'm looking at getting either the LG, Samsung, or new Sony players that also stream netflix, amazon, etc. I will use my US VPN because I will be taking it with me to Europe and want to know if there is any experience in using this sort of set up. With my home wifi network how will I connect to my US VPN? Are there certain players that will do this easier than others?

I think the easiest way is to get a second device like a VPN router or something, where it does all of the VPN magic and just shares it to your media device.
But I don't think any of the media players will support VPN.
another problem I am seeing is bandwidth. unless you have way good internet (good Upload speed like a T1 or something) It isn't going to have enough bandwidth the stream video.

I agree w/ Catsrules, I'm not sure the "experience" is going to be all that good.

But putting that aside, why does streaming this content require a VPN anyway? Usually a VPN is intended to protect your PERSONAL data. So unless you plan to download porn and fear the implications in some countries, or that exclusive birthday party video you’d rather no one else enjoy, I don't see the need.

Anyway, none of those devices are going to support VPN directly. You’ll need to setup your own VPN server, then access that content indirectly. Something like LogMeIn Hamachi might be suitable and just easier.

Amazon and netflix might block the content from other countries. Like what hulu and the bbc does. That is the only thing I could think of why any one would want to do this, But I really have no idea.
