Gtx 260/295 discontinued?

Solution
In the 260's case, the performance of the 5770 when the 5770 was released at the same price made the 260 a far better choice, driving up prices from $155 to $200. There's still a big price hole between the 5870 and 5970 and that had left a niche for the 295 as what's left of those are selling at $50 above the price back in October.

With the same factory making both ATI's and nVidia's cards, and with both suffering from poor yields, my guess is nVidia's anxious to maximize fermi outputs and the conversion of production lines from the 200 series to the 400 series is probably necessary to have a shot at meeting their initial sales targets dryin up the source of the older cards.

I would not be surprised if they were discontinued, Fermi is due out in late March from last rumors and Nvidia needs to start making them and sell out excess inventory of the 200 series in preparation.
