Windows 7 problems unable to connect to internet

Hello, I have just installed windows 7 on another laptop. It connects fine to the wireless network, but won't connect to the internet and gives the message that the IP address is invalid. Help!

Check TCP/IP Properties. You'll have to translate this to how Win 7 does it but the principle applies:

Start, Connect To, Connection, Properties, Scroll Down TCP/IP and highlight, click Properties and check that Obtain DNS and IP address automatically are enabled.
