If you wanted max you should have bought a 1090T.

wow jenny, you didn't ask the most important question, also most games are not Bad Company 2 (makes me happy i have a quad and not a dual), most games there isn't a significant difference between processors when it comes to gaming, and if there is, its usually after the fps is past 100, which wouldn't matter since its so high

@OP what resolution are you playing at, if at 1920x1080 or higher, you may have to turn down some settings since the 5770 might have a hard time at max with games like bad company 2, crysis, and metro 2033. Most other games will probably be able to be maxed out

Yes i know, maybe is a better choice 5850...

@Misko195, for gaming, it really doesn't matter, cpu intensive tasks (like video encoding) yeah hands down intel

@jennyh, and you are someone who only buys AMD, so you are like the intel fanboys in this way

though you could bump to an athlon II x4 630 and get a 5850 instead, just get an after market cooler and OC the athlon II x4

EDIT: though back to topic, will this play all games at max, no, most, more than likely, though don't expect it to keep up in the coming years

No mindless I dont tell intel fanboys to 'die' and call them sick.

Not even chad, who believe me says a LOT worse than I ever do. Why don't you pick on him instead? Or maybe you just like to pick on girls mindless? What a hero you are.

Crossfire 2 5850s if you really want to max it out. And why are you putting a Caviar GREEN in a gaming system? I mean.... really?

Ofc you'll go for intel misko. You are *clearly* not quite all there. A few sandwiches short of a picnic?

I wouldn't expect somebody like you to do anything else.

Lol men or girls whatever, what is wrong with you. You have a serious problem with CPU (AMD-Intel)

I just like to build a system and why is important what i put in there, Intel or amd. This is my choise.......
Buy and good luck with AMD, will need you.

If you are set on Western Digital, go with the Black. The Caviar Black's are made for fast performance, while the WD Green's are made for low power consumption. No doubt you will notice the difference between the two.

Don't put a Caviar Green in a gaming system. Go with the Black.

for HDD, i would actually suggest Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB, single platter drive, very fast

@jennyh, i know there are people worse on the site, its the fanboyism that isn't needed (thats both of you, looking at Misko), also the single benchmark trying to suggest based on game that the i5-750 would be worse, its all give and take, BC2 uses threads like nobody's business, but games like that are few and far between

as for peak performance, but keeping the budget, athlon II x4 and a 5850 would get better fps in games than a i5-750, just because of the better PSU

^ +1 for the Spinpoint, I have the 500GB single-platter and I love it. Since he said he was looking for a WD green or black, I just suggested the black, since it is the best WD has to offer.

i have the 2TB eco-green version (HTPC), and even being 5400rpm, its still fast as hell

Do you want your drive to be fast as hell, or faster than hell? :D

Corny, I know... :(

I hear that also, thats is really fast. But if i buy green, i will buy Sata2 with 7200 rpm and 32mb cash.

So i don't know, maybe better option is Caviar BLACK...
