PCI-E 2.0 motherboard can support a PCI-E 2.1 video card???

since 5xxx already released lots of them are running on a PCI-E 2.1 im wondering if 2.0 motherboard can support a 2.1 VC

Yea youll be fine, according to wikipedia, 2.1 just has some of the features that are going to be implaced in version 3.0, 2.1 still has the same bandwidth rates. In other words, its basically just a marketing thing

It's a different specification, but all PCI-E specifications are backwards-compatible.

ahhh so i can still use my mobo in 2.1 VC .... coz im planning to upgrde my vc maybe a budget gaming crd 5670 ..... i have a question for you man.. i have a "19"inch monitor which is better 2x crossfire 5670 or 5770 single????

Havent seen any 5670 CF benchmarks, but i would go with a 5770 personally, it also gives you the option to get another one later when you need a extra performance boost in a few years
