Cannot get nut on standoff COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 evo

For some reason I cannot put this on standoff on the backplate the nut wont go on it tight enough to make it secure. I have placed the other 3 standoffs on already but this one is giving me trouble.. Is there any way I can replace this w/o sending it back?

edit- would I be able to use the standoff, the nut can go on the end of the standoff but wont tighten all the way and it will be loose
