Should I go to I3 or I5 from Core 2 Duo Q6600?

Hello,

My Dell Intel Quad 6600 seems to running quite slow lately (2007) should i go to the I3, I5 or I7? Lots of Music and Business Documents on my computer. Thanks

Thanks All, I thought I needed to clean out my hard drive and send most of my Music to the external hard drive!

Considering you would need a new mobo, cpu and ram, it would not be a very smart upgrade imo.


Not sure how to overclock or what overclock is :)  , my ghz is 2.4. what is mobo? Initially it came with 2GB and I put an additional 2GB in, taking it to the Max of 4GB. Thanks again,

Originally Win XP, 2GB 500 HD, then in Dec. 09 I put Win 7 Prof, & additional 2GB ram, 2.4GHZ. Use it mailny for Music and Business Documents.
