G skill trident 2000mhz only at 987?

im a complete noob so bear with me.
Using CPU-Z my DRAM frequency shows 987Mhz.
Isn't my memory meant to be running at 2000Mhz?

is something wrong with my Memory or something?

Your ram is actually running at double that - 1974Mhz

The DDR part in DDR3 = Double Data Rate, so its actual speed is double the DRAM frequency.

You are also not overclocking enough, it should be running at 999.9 - 1000mhz.
