I have an E2160 processor and i was wondering if i would be able to overclock it from 1.8Ghz to 2.4Ghz with only using the standard heat sink and fan, i am just wanting to know as some games that i want to play require a clock speed that is 2.00Ghz or higher.

More about : e2160

The E2160 wasn't a "cool" running CPU at all. And with the stock HSF, I wouldn't touch that things clock speed. I had a 2200 as a temporary chip before I bought my E8400; that thing could cook eggs at stock settings with the stock HSF under full load. I remember it hitting the 70s with Prime95 at STOCK!

No... Besides even to 2.4GHz you wil barely see improvement. That CPU is ancient.
