How do you know if your ssd is in AHCI mode

You have to set the AHCI mode in your computers bios under Intergrated Peripherals and you would look for ICH SATA Control Mode where you would change it from IDE to either AHCI or RAID. This has to be done before you load the OS onto the SSD.
