Hello,
I've recently purchased an Asus 1156 P7H55-M PRO for a friend and Corsair CMD4GX3M2A1600C8 2 x 2GB DDR3, which is said to be supported. However, I've been hearing that i5-750's can only run up to 1333Mhz ram. Will I have any problems? I'm fine if it will only run at 1333, but will it run at all? Thanks in advance

PS. I'm not very experienced with technical aspects of a computer. This is our first time building a computer.

The i5 750's can only run RAM up to 1333 MHz - unless you OC your CPU or make other trade-offs. However, it can still run the RAM you've listed. That RAM is not "just" 1600 MHz, it's capable of running at many different frequencies up to 1600 MHz. It may even be able to run faster but the manufacturer only guarantees it up to 1600 MHz.

In short: Yes, you can buy that RAM and run it at 1333 MHz. And if you want to OC your CPU you will be able to run the RAM up to at least 1600 MHz. There is very little performance difference between 1333 and 1600.

Thank you for the response=)

That's the motherboard. While it only list DDR3 2133(O.C.) / 1333 / 1066 support on the front page, it has 1600 Mhz listed under supported memory(the Corsair I bought) for Lynnfield processors. Which I assume a i5-750 counts as?

Am I correct in that assumption and that everything is still fine? Sorry for all the questions. Really want to be sure everything will be compatible when it arrives.
