i have a acer aspire 3680 with windows xp and i just put in a 250gb hard drive and my audio is lagging realy bad during movies and while im listing to music what can i do to fix it or do i have to buy a new audio card

after i put in the new hard drive i reinstaled windows xp

i updated the video but when i try to update the audio card it says that it cant find any updates or it has the latest version installed
