How do you transfer data from laptop to desktop when the screen doesn\'t work on

Got a laptop with alot of data on it and the screen quit working. How do I get it to a desktop?

have you tried connecting a monitor to the laptop?

You have two options that I see:

1. Connect an external monitor and use the special keyboard combination to enable the external monitor. Then share the hard drive and copy the files to the desktop.

2. Remove the hard drive and connect it to your desktop with a USB adapter.
