I cleaned my cpu heat sink " took it off" and now my pc dont work

ok i was cleaning my pc and removed my heat sink and now my shuts down about 15 secs or less after i start it up. do i need new thermal compound and is the shuting down a saft thing?

Did you remove the old thermal paste? Assuming nothing else was changed, you either didn't mount the HSF correctly, or you need new thermal paste. Your CPU is likely overheating, causing the PC to shut down.
