If i have an ide hard drive what do i need a scsi/raid host controller for

in device manager ive noticed a code 12 conflict/sharing error between primary channel and scsi/raid host controller. can anyone help remedy?

Do you actually have a SCSI/RAID controller plugged in to a PCI or other expansion slot?
