Hi i was wondering wich would be faster this mushkin chronos delux 60gb drive or this 120gb Mushkin chronos drive?

my thoughts are this the 60gb drive is faster it being the delux version and using snychronus nand where as the 120gb drive uses the slower asynchronus nand however with a 60gb drive i would be operating the drive at atleast 70% full wich i know when a drive is near full it slows down. so in reality wich is faster?

if i had the 120gb drive id still save most of stuff to a reguler storage drive i would'nt keep much on the boot drive little as possable for either drive

heres the links

If you buy a SSD... use it!

Go ahead and put the os and frequently used apps or games on it.

To answer your question, I think the performance of either drive will be remarkably similar in normal desktop operations.
It will take an unrealistic synthetic benchmark to tell the difference.

I would pick the larger drive, simply because I could put more on it.

well i have read articles showing that asycronus memory can be alot lot slower then sychronus. however i have to weigh the options because a 60gb drive would always run at 70% or more full where as the 120gb would be run at 35`50% full

anyone else want to comment on this please? anyone know of any charts or somethin to show the performance from half full or 75% full
