Hello I'VE uninstalled my scanner and now unable to find the soft ware for it can you help

The driver depends on the particular hardware, and can usually be found on your manufacturer's site if you search under Support for your model. Go to http://www.packardbell.com/support/?i=6929290000 and follow the prompts

That's an old machine, and support may be difficult. See this thread: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/3845-63-packard-bell-diamond-1200-scanner-driver-windows7 . That was two years ago!

Please satisfy my curiosity: how do you know that this is a driver issue?
