8 is kind of old. I think that MS is up to 11 now.

Do you have a particular game or application that requires 8 and will not run under 11? I would test it with 11 first. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 .

I can't find anything older than 9 on Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 .

So you would have to go to some third-party site for 8.0. I will personally never use one of these driver sites; I'm too afraid of getting malware. Also, 9 was the earliest version that worked with XP.
