Hi,

I'm considering replacing my desktop computer at home for a laptop.

The main applications that I run on my computer are:
- MatLab/Simulink
- MS Office
- VPN software
- Windows Media Player
- HP photo scanner(USB)/ACDSee

What models would be recommended? I don't want to spend to much money
on it, but at the same time I want to be able to run my
Matlab/Simulink simulations fast. My current desktop is a AMD Athlong
XP +2400 based machine. I run Win2k on it and have about 512 MB of
DDR 266 RAM. My monitor is some old 17" thing from Philips.

Thanks for any help that you may provide.

Regards,
Phil
