Asus P7P55D-E PRO Power connections ???

OK, I can figure out the large ATX power connector, but I'm stumped with the EATX 12V connector.

I'm using a Corsair 650 TX power supply with an Asus P7P55D-E PRO.

I have two, 4 pin connectors on the same lead. The motherboard has a cover over one half of the EATX 12V connection. The manual says nothing about this cover, but shows the pin out for all 8 pins. Do I just use 1 of the 4 pin power supply connectors? One of them matches the shape of the connector on the motherboard, the other has all four pins that have a half round shape to the connector(on the PS end), it dosen't match that part of the MB connector but will still connect.

I'm not sure how to upload a photo to this forum. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Simple solution: Remove the little plastic cover over the other 4pins and plug in the 8pin ATX. This is normal practice, so don't worry about doing any damage to the board :)
  2. ^ Use the 2X4 Connector.
  3. Thanks for the information! I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to fry anything.
