APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Within the next 4-6 months

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: gaming and watching movies, also im starting college for programming.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: I have a mouse and headset( so dont need speakers)

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: I prefer Newegg, im in FL USA

PARTS PREFERENCES: i dont know which is which, i know i want top quailty

OVERCLOCKING: Maybe if i learn

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe if it would be better to get 2 less powerful then one powerful one.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: at least 1080

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I dont need my computer to be quiet, or look fancy, i prefer the case to be a more elegant one but IDC as long as it moves air.

heres the build i made but thats the parts out now, i havent been keeping up with the tech.
so maybe in 4-6 months new stuff will be out and this stuff will be cheaper.
anyways my budget i plan to save is about 1800-2000 dollars.

Ok, what would you guys do?, wait for all these new CPUs, Mobos and Fermi cards and try to buy those, or after they release buy these kind of parts that are now cheaper?

I would wait if you have the patience. If you are willing to pay the premium 6 core cpus are coming out this year. Also fermi will be march 24. I would wait a month or two before ordering fermi for review stuff. Fermis sopossedly run extremely hot so you will probably want to buy an nvidia certified case. Lastly if i were you make sure to to get a usb 3 bord and new sata what ever that is.

ok thanks, yea well i wanna build this computer because i need a new one but also because final fantasy 14 will be coming out within 2010 and they are saying its gonna need alot of computer power to play. but it wont be out for a while, so i plan to save until about a month before it comes out then buy the parts. So no matter what it wont be out within 6 months since beta hasnt started.
