Display wont show HELP!!!!

Last response: in Windows 7
Share

i accidently deleted all the display drivers off of the computer (stupid mistake i know), the computer restarted and now the computer has just seemed to screw up completely.

the computer turns on however i get no signal from the moniter, it's on but nothing on the screen so i cant get into BIOS or anything, im using a different computer in the house ATM

i've tried:
using different cables
Taking out and putting the CMOS battery in
using different moniters

ive looked EVERYWHERE and cant find any solution to this! please help!

thank you soooooo much!

More about : display wont show

It doesn't use the windows display driver for the BIOS (as it hasn't even loaded windows at that point). If you're not even seeing the BIOS load, then you have a hardware issue.

Do you hear the POST beep?

can you get display from the basic inbuilt graphics? can you get display if you use an old video card? have you tried using one stick of ram to see if any have gone faulty?
if its a powered card are the cables plugged in correctly? tried reseating your ram?

sorry for the long reply time, just got home from work,

nope no display, i haven't tried one stick of ram but ill give it ago as well as checkign all the cables again,

btw thanks your the help!

ill let you know if it works~!

EDIT: nope, still nothing any other suggestions ? :/

Deleting the display drivers should not stop you from seeing the BIOS boot screen or the Windows boot screen. Is the computer booting at all? do you hear the sign on beep? do you hear the normal windows hard disk start activity?

That means your hardware isn't passing the POST.

Open the case. Verify that the 24pin main power is plugged in tight. Make sure the 4/8 pin CPU power is connected.

Remove all the RAM, and see if you get a beep code (you should get a beep code with this).

If your motherboard has onboard video, disconnect any add-on video cards and/or other PCI cards. Then try using the onboard video.

Ok, keep the graphics card out.

Insert 1 of the RAM chips.

Try booting up.

If nothing, then try the RAM chip in each slot.

OH MY GODD!!!! it worked!

thank you sooo much man! ive looked everywhere for help!

just one more thing, now that the vid car is out what does this mean? the card is at fault here?

thanks again!

EDIT: none of my desktpo icons or anything are showing, just my desktop imma try rebooting in safemode

Is the video card the only hardware that's not back and connected?

If yes, put it back in, and try to boot. If it fails, then either the PSU isn't capable of powering that system with the video card, or the video card is faulty.
