I have an Asus M4A785T-M motherboard with 2x 2048MB DDR3/1333MHz Non-ECC Non-Registered sticks of Ram in the Dimm_A1 and _B1 slots. I have purchased CORSAIR XMS3 DHX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) and want to make sure i install them Correctly to get the most out of all my Ram. Should I simply install the new sticks in the Dimm_A2 and _B2 slots, or do i need to move one of the existing stick in the _A1 slot to the _B2 and put the new sticks in the _A1 and _A2 slots respectively? Sorry if this is a noob question and ty in advance for any input I can get on this.

The simpliest way is to read the MB manual under 'installing system RAM'. Towards the front like page 3 or 4.

Yes I have read the Mobo manual, however, what I am asking is if i have channel A and B and there is Ram in A1 and B1. Do I need to install the new sticks in A2 and B2 or keep the paired sticks seperate by moving and existing stick so i have one set in slots 1 and 3 and the other in 2 and 4?

Thnx again

It actually doesn't matter. It's up to you where you want to install them (A1 + B1 or A2 + B2) but to make it easier just install them in A2 + B2. I'd suggest to try to keep the rams together (as in if you install one in A1, install the other in B1). =) Hope this helps! x)
