Will zonealarm and mcafee run together

I have mcafee and zonealarm installed. My computer speed is very slow. Will these 2 products play well together?

Which McAfee product is installed (they have several products)? You normally don't want to run several services that perform the same function. Your computer might be slow for other reasons. Is it always slow or is it slow when running local applications, Internet access, other?

I am running Virus Scan and the Zonealarm firewall. It is slow loading programs and slow on the internet.

How powerful is your system? If you stop VirusScan, is the system more responsive? If you stop both, is it really fast?

Mcafee's not a very good a-v anyway. When does your contract expire? i would switch to Avira Free or Avast Free.

How much RAM do you have, and how much does each program use? Check the Task Manager.

It is not advisable to run two security suites which effectively do the same job. You do not need two firewalls, which obviously Zonealarm is one and there is usually one in McAfee if you have the full "Internet Security" suite.

My error. I thought the OP meant Mcafee A-V, not Suite.
