Difficulty settings

Just got the retail version of TDS. Had the demo installed before.
Uninstalled before installing the full game. When I start the game, the only
difficulty setting I can choose is "normal". Clicking the other settings
does nothing. Anyone run into this?

Never mind...my stupidity....the tutorial level only has "normal" available
for difficulty.

But watch for the now-infamous bug.

No matter what you set the difficulty, it resets to normal.

util that will hack-fix the problem.

Exactly how is this supposed to work?
I tested it and put custom adjustments like 5.000 something
for all the AI senses and combat, saved into registry, left
the Thief Bot running in the background and started to play
T3 demo.

First everything OK, one hit took about half of my health
away. Then loaded previous save and noticed hit reducing
only 3 bars of health, like on normal expert-difficulty.
Does this fix for the AI bug have an AI bug aswell?

I'm running it, but don't think it takes care of all aspects of the
difficulty settings. I see the fraction status starts on 20%, I think it
would start on 0% on expert. And sometimes there's quite a few more guards
than "normal", then after a reload there's lots less. On expert they will
see you if they are alerted and get close enough, even when R'ed up against
the wall, in the shadows - but often after a reload that no longer happens.

But don't get me wrong, I'm happy somebody took the time to make a fix that
takes care of most of the settings until the patch is released, and it
probably never was intented to take care of all aspects of the bug.
