"Long delays", even after switching from IDE to AHCI

I have the Agility 3 120GB SSD and I'm having terrible "long delays" and freezing (well, mouse still moves, things just won't load) when I do a little bit of multitasking. It's not too much, so I can tell there's a big problem here. Even after I switched from IDE to AHCI, I'm still experiencing the delays, although they did improve from when I was on IDE. I haven't had the delays in a game, (Counter Strike: Source), but only when I'm navigating through files, opening/closing internet tabs, browsing, et cetera. Sometimes it won't happen for a full day, and sometimes it'll happen within the same minute, so it's very random.

More about long delays switching ahci
  1. Could be an indication of a failing drive.
  2. Not the greatest thing I want to be hearing right now. With all of the computer work I'm doing, RMA'ing would be the last thing I want to do. Could anybody else give me some answers here?
