Aspect ratio problem

Hello, New system...any resolution selected that is not 16:9 or 16:10 causes BSOD. Is this normal
I am using 22" widescreen lcd monitor

If you have a widescreen monitor, whats the issue? You should be playing all games at your native resolution, most likely 1680x1050. Only issues I can think of is if your playing older games that don't support that, like Lord of Destruction. (max is 800x600.)

Uninstall then re-install the drivers.

Thanks for assistance.....It was a driver problem...I thought my driver was good (sept. 2009) but I loaded latest catalyst driver and It cured the problem....now I can run 3dmark...the free version that only ran at one of the resolutions my card crashed with earlier.
