I've checked out Infineon memory on the internet and see it carries a lifetime warranty. I have a strip in an older laptop and called Compaq, the lady said it's only got a 1year warranty, and would I like to buy more from them. She got quite upset when I said why would I when I get a better warranty from elsewhere.
Anyone else run into this problem, or is it the same with all makers?
From what the lady at Compaq told me, no matter what memory comes with your desktop/laptop they only give a 1 year
warranty, and that there was nothing I could do about this.
I bought Mushkin (lifetime) from newegg when I built my pc.
