I just received my BFG GTX 260 Maxcore and the tech guy helped me read my 12v ratings to realize that my power supply just won't do the job. (I did check before I bought the card but read the PS wrong)

I was hoping I could get some suggestions from people who own a GTX 260 for a very low cost power supply that will do the job for my card, 2 HDD, 2 disc drives, AMD 630 quad-core with huge heat sink and fan, and 1600 mhz RAM.

If you don't own one and your not familiar with the power needs of the card it has a minimum requirement of 550 watts, and a combined 12v rating of 38a.

Thank you for any help :wahoo:

Well, first off I would not recommend getting the bare minimum (in quality). Go for a brand such as Corsair, Seasonic, or OCZ. OCZ is probably your best bet on a budget. Look at their 600-650W PSUs.

I have a GTX 260 and I use a 600watt Thermaltake purepower. Works fine, but I have a E5200 dual core.
