Hey,

I just got a new system, all my parts are brand new:

CPU: Intel Core i5-760 [new]
Mobo: p7h55-m pro [new]
RAM: gskill ddr3 2x2gb F3-10666CL8D-4GBHK [new]
GPU: evga 240gt 512mb [working]
PSU: seasonic x650 [new]
OS: n/a
HDD: 2 hds/1 dvd rom [working]

Here's the problem: my system doesnt show a thing when powered on. Just a blank screen. CPU fan spinning. Case leds light up. mobo standby led working and lit. Video card fan spinning.

Here's what I've tried:
i tried cmos reset.
I've tested the new psu on an older amd system and it works.
i think its a mobo problem.

I appreciate any help!

Remove the video card and see if it will boot then. If not then you're right(also try testing whether or not you have faulty RAM). Also check if the monitor is connected to the card and not the mobo ports.

We have a troubleshooting guide here that is designed to help you find out the cause to such problems you are experiencing. Click on the link in my signature to jump to the troubleshooting guide.

While working through the guide, ensure that you work through every applicable step, no skipping. If nothing in the guide helps you, look for the breadboarding link at the end of the guide. Breadboarding is useful, in that it helps you eliminate any short circuits between mobo and case.
