Hey guys!
I recently sold my pc (e5200, 9600gt etc...) for $400.... by march 10 i will recieve anywhere from 400-1200 dollars, i no big difference but yeah....

I was not too happy with the 9600gt.... i have been offered $100 for 2 8800 ultras!!!!!! 2 beastly kings of 07 for only $100... is it worth it.... idk what to do.... i wanted a gts 250, 5770, gtx 260, or 5850 depending on how much money i would have gotten... If a paired this with a i5 750 could i play crysis very high, 1680x1050 with the ultras in sli smoothly?? Should i buy the ultras? This is a tight situation becaus the ultras are quite old.... i wanna keep em for 1-2 years and thats why im worried....

what do u guys think....
and what the cheapest power supply that can run these tanks?

is it worth it???
thanks in advance

It's worth it, if they work! 8800 Ultras run hot and are prone to short lives so make sure they aren't defective in any way. You better have good case ventilation for them as well. Check the charts here or on guru 3d to see their relative performance. I say at 1680x1050 you could run them for a year and a half before you start wanting to upgrade to a DX11 card.

Thanks for your replies!
I will then buy them! i will put them in an antec 902 or storm scout or haf 922 or haf 932 (LOL) with either, a good phenom or i3 or i5 750.... depends on the money... Ill get a high air flow fan from side panel onto fans...

I hope the corsair 650 watt psu can power these babies... 8800ultras in sli for $100 is a craxy good deal, i almost bought a gts 250 lol...

Thanks
