Why do my icons not work?

i had a online computer co. fix and clean my pc. so now my icons won't open programs? how do i fix this problem?

Sue the online computer company. In the meantime, please provide a little more information.
Can you run things through the Start menu? If not, is the machine usable at all?
Is this every icon on your desktop, or just some of them?
Can you right-click on one or more of these icons and tell us what is in the Properties?

And what company was that? We will all want to avoid them!
