Youtube adobe flash player for internet explorer 8

Hello,
My system was working fine yesterdayt. All of a sudden today when I click to play youtube all I get is machine language. My system is running IE 8 for Windows XP. Please advise how to correct this problem.

Having the same problem here on multiple computers. IE8 (windows 8, and X), and Safari will not run the videos. Firefox and Chrome will. Anxious to find a real fix!

I did find a real fix by running a complete scan of my system. Avast found several trojans that I then deleted. Once I saw the name of the trojan, I went through my entire HD to find anything with that name and deleted it. After a reboot, my system worked just fine with videos again. It was NOT IE 8 or XP at fault. Thanks everyone!
