Hello.

I've recently been looking at the XSPC Raystorm D5 EX240 EC kit.

I've been wondering, it doesn't seem like the included reservoir has a drain hole.
I've decided to add a T line somewhere in the loop, and have a tube sticking out as a drain line. Would this work with my loop, would it do anything bad for the pressure within the loop? Also, where should I place it?

The configuration I've been planning to do is this: Res/pump>CPU>Rad>back to Res.

Last question: I've been thinking of putting just a silver killcoil in it, with maybe one or two drops of alcohol. Will such a small amount of alcohol do anything bad for the system?

Thanks! :)

yeah you can have a drain line - located at the bottom most part of the loop or you can have it work as a drain port as well as a fill port by getting a 45' rotary fitting and connect it to the top fill port along with a small length of tubing. The tube can can be stashed inside the drive bay when not needed and when maintenance time comes, have the port come out and tilt case.

alcohol doesn't do anything - and mind you rubbing alcohol will crack your acrylic res or anything that's of plexi.

Thanks for your reply, though were would I buy such T-fitting? XSPC online store doesn't seem to have it, and I don't have any stores near me that sell watercooling pparts.

Also, why wouldn't alcohol work? I thought any organism that contacts it would die..

Thanks!
