How to open a camera memory card which is been locked

My 5 year old was playing with my camera and some how locked the memory card- how do you unlock it?

If by memory card you mean an SD card (common in most modern cameras), there is often a locking switch on the physical card--try taking it out and looking on the side--a little sliding switch locking or unlocking the card.
