Sony DSC P-10 Auto Mode - need help

Greetings! I have bought a refurbished P-10 recently. I have some
questions about this camera -
[a] When one is in Sports and Landscape mode in the Scene section -
one can not manually change the ASA but the camera program
automatically can vary the ASA from 100 to 320 ASA depending on the
light intensity.

[b] When One is in AUTO mode one can see the histogram, aperture and
shutter speed but one can not change any settings like EV
compensation.

Am I thinking right?
