hello,

I`m about to buy the following components
cpu intel core i7 950
case coolmaster test bench
HD OCZ Ibis 240
blu ray LG BH10LS30
mainboard ASUS P6X58D-E
geheugen Kingstron Hyper-X DDR3 6GB
CPU koler Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B

Now i have the following question:

Will it fit!

with the usb 3.0 + 2x a videocard + the ibis (pci 1.1).
Do i have enough lanes?

cause if i count right (36 pci 2.0 lanes) it wont fit.
Or is the pci 1.1 not part of the 36 lanes?

Not sure what PCI 1.1 is, I know that the newest revision of PCI is 2.3, Anyway unless the USN 3 card uses more than 4 lanes you should be fine. One more thing Newegg says that the card swithces to x16/x16/x1 mode when three devices that aren't video cards are connected, which might be a problem if you plan on using the third PCI-e x16 slot.

1) It will fit, as the PCIe x1 is above the PCIe 2.0 x16 slot.

2) You will have enough lanes as the PCIe x1 is not the same lanes as PCIe 2.0 x16

does the usb 3.0 and sata 6.0gbps use also lanes from the pcie 2.0?

Not on ASUS boards. There are some older Gigabyte boards when it first released USB 3.0 / SATA 6.0 Gb/s. You will be fine and no issues there.
