To put Windows XP back on it you need either the laptop maker's XP recovery CD, or there must be a factory-installed recovery partition on the hard drive. Your laptop instruction manual should explain how to run the recovery partition program.
If you don't have a recovery CD, a Windows XP CD, or a recovery partition on the hard drive, you will have to try and buy a legal copy of Windows XP or contact your laptop manufacturer and ask them to send you an XP recovery CD.
