Is the 960T worth waiting for?

Since my rebuild is a birthday gift from my wife, I'm supposed to order everything by the end of May. Is there any chance the 960T will drop this month? Also, based on what we know/suspect, how would we expect it to compare to a 965BE?

Thanks in advance!

Single threaded performance, and gaming performance are almost identical with Thuban as they are to Deneb, the 960T won't be anything special. Stock due to lower clocks, it may actually be slower than the 965, but it should be more energy efficient if that matters. Either way it doesn't matter, many sources are saying Q3 release for the 960T now, which means July-Sept launch.

The 960T will use a little less power and have a slightly better performance per clock, but it won't really be noticeable. I think AMD is not going to spend much time on making thuban better since they are working on Bulldozer.

I would say the 955 BE would be the best, since it is C3 revision like the 965 and still has L3 cache unlike the Athlons.
