It's not really the motherboard you should be looking for, but possibly a faster GPU/CPU/HDD depending on your bottleneck. You may need to replace your motherboard if you cannot upgrade your components that are on it.

The motherboard will limit what you can put into your computer, but it doesn't really effect the computer's speed, just the components that go onto it.

^+1 he's right. You could have the best motherboard out there but if the rest of your hardware is old/useless photoshop will still be slow.

What are your current system specs? (motherboard, graphics card, cpu, etc?)

If you're running Photoshop CS5 then you want Xeon + Pro GPU {Quadro} + SSD. Next I'd need to know a Budget for your Workstation.

If it's a play thing then it doesn't matter, and I prefer ASUS MOBO.

Also put in at least 4 GB of RAM. 8 GB is recommended. Photoshop can use up to 3 GB of RAM.
