Acer Aspire 1355 replacement DvD drive question

Evening all

I have recently purchased a Acer Aspire 1355xv as a second computer, which
is primarily used by my other half for her studies. My question is, how easy
is it to replace the DvD reader which comes as standard with the 1355xv for
a DvD re-writer, and what models should i be looking for on say Ebay. Would
say an after market drive like the Philips SDVD6004 be suitable and would it
be compatible.

Sorry for the obscure question and the cross post, ask my about desktops and
i could bore you
to death but i don't have a clue about laptops.
