What is a quiet, good-quality CPU fan? Thinking about http://www.amazon.com/Gelid-Solutions-Tranquillo-CPU-Co... or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... . For a gaming comp with i7 860 and a XFX 5870. Damn typo.

More about : good pcu fan

This article could help you a lot in your choice : Overclocking On Air: 10 LGA 1156-Compatible Performance Coolers
I read it, wasn't really interested in any of them. Just found out that the zalman fan has LED (which I hate) and the Gelid Solutions Tranquillo is not on newegg, and I've decided I want to order the entire computer at once, so I don't want either of these CPU fans. Need some suggestions, fan must be on newegg.

Disconnect the leds on the Zalmann if you like it apart from the lighting :p

I second the recommendation for the Hyper 212+ by msox, its a fairly inexpensive cooler but did quite well when reviewed at frosty tech.

I don't care whether or not the fan is inexpensive, I want it to be very quiet and perform well. I want my computer to be as quiet as possible, so I don't mind spending a little extra. Still need suggestions.
