Hello: recently, my cursos/pointers have become uncontrollable. It doesn't matter if I am using the touchpad or mouse. I am using Wndows XP Media Center. It will run all over the page - highlighting everything. When I do get to position it and start typing, the cursor/pointer jumps and starts typing in a different area. I'm going crazy trying to get any work one. PLEASE, help!

Did you try rebooting?

Touchpad = laptop?

May need to replace the keyboard. Try disabling the touchpad in the BIOS.
