Only 4 wires for audio connection--which pins?

Hello,
I have a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R and my generic case only has 4 wires for the front panel, MIC+, L, R, GD-, and nothing corresponds to the F-Panel diagram. Can anyone help? Also, I don't use headphones or mic very often, so don't know if HD or A97 is what I want.
Thanks

its AC '97, HDA will use significantly more wires.

The diagram shows 1=MIC, 2=GND, 3=MIC Power, 4=NC, 5=Line Out (R), 6=NC, 7=NC, 8=No Pin, 9=Line Out (L), 10=NC

My case wires = MIC+, L, R, GD-

So, MIC+ = Pin 3? (Or Pin1?)
L = Pin 9?
R = Pin 5?
GD- = Pin 2

Thanks
