Computer sees RAID card but not the 'disk'

I have installed a Rosewill RC-209-EX card in order to perform a RAID 5 configuration on my computer.
I have successfully installed the card, I see it in the Device Manager, but it does not show on My Computer nor in BIOS.
Any suggestions, hints, or assistance is extremely appreciative.
My one day excitement has turned into a week's worth of a nightmare.

Have you partitioned and formatted the volume yet? If you can see the drive in device manager, write click and select format.

Not formatted yet, need to go into computer management, identify it as a drive, then I should be good to go. Thank you for the reply.

Right click, manage, select disk management, right click on unformatted disk, select format, done...then load win7 and I am out of here, peace out.

where is the software that came with your rosewill? In it, you'll find the software needed to access the raid card so you can set-up your raid.
