SD card READ ONLY

Hello,
Long Story Short... I have a SD card that has Navigation maps on it and Now Upgrade to a newer map. The SD card is a 16G. I was thinking it could be useful. When I try to Format it say can due to copy rights. I by no means want to Copy it just erase it to use it in my digital video Camera.

BTW I have tried The normal. switch on the side with no change. I can't even delete Anything off. just thought I would add That.
