Hi all ,

I recently decided to order a new CPU Cooler : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103100.

Now, it comes with it's own bottle of thermal paste but I have heard that arctic silver 5 is the best out there. Is it worth buying a bottle of AS5 instead of the CM thermal paste that is supplied? (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100007)

Also, should I get the thermal paste remover and purifier? Or is that not necessary either? Is there a cheaper and easier way to purify and clean old thermal paste? (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835100010)

Thanks and hope to hear from you guys soon.

Solution
Hi there, just keep the cooler master thermal paste. Your temperature drop will be minimal if you switch to silver 5. Also don't waste your money on thermal paste remover/purifier, just grab some isopropyl alcohol and Q-tips (or coffee filters) and clean the old thermal paste off.
